I'm hanging with a friend for the first time?

I'm hanging out with a friend that I met over facebook for the first time today at the mall & i want to know how to make it not awkward, since usually the first when i hangout with someone it's sorta awkward. & by the way I know she's not some 48 year old creep because my friends know her!
