Are leases automatically broken if the Landlord does not follow the letter of the law?
According to the lease it said that me and my roommate should have been given a 5 day notice by paper before moving out and there were no exceptions. However, me and my roommate was forced out as construction came in. The second issue is that in my contract a Landlord has to give 3 days written advance prior to entering if they are any damages reported by maintenance on call. However, there was one situation where the Landlord came unexpected and basically even without a threat or obscenity basically intimidated me.
