Turtle Beach X31 sound weak in one ear?

I was playing Black ops, then suddenly the sound in my headset seemed like it went away in 1 ear. I unplugged the wireless adapter and it came back for a few seconds, then went away. I know the sound is not completely gone because if I take the cuff off the other ear the sound still plays, although weaker, in the cuff it is weaker in, which is the left cuff.
